Horsey Accessories

I've been enamoured with dressing up ever since I can remember... and accessories are the spice of dress up.

Playing with scales is fun; herein you'll find miniatures as well as marionettes and dolls, too. Everything that isn't in 1:1 scale.

Masks

Putting on a mask is becoming someone, something else. Creating masks is creating that someone, that something, and so very rewarding each and every time. x x x x x

Interiors

Playing with interior elements is like dressing up; lamps and curtains and pillows and the rest the accessories of rooms.

Miscellany

And all the rest, too little to merit a subdivision of their own, too big to ignore.

I am

Curiosity is the mother of all inventions, that cannot be denied. Or the fact that in my endless desire to learn, I've always sought new ways of doing, new things to do.

But do what?
Well, a lot, really. Over the course of thirty years, I've managed to dabble in multiple handcrafts, gotten to know some delights via computers, others through more traditional media. Spending time with my three children, all of them different ages, has opened doors to new views, taught me to see the wonder in the world.

I've found myself gravitating towards seas, their myriad fauna and vast possibilities, krakens and dragons, miniatures and giants...all the wonders of legends and fairytales. On the other hand, there are also the million eyes in a peacock's tail, the flames of the Phoenix and the butterfly-soul; the symbology and symbolism that humanity has cooked up, languages like any other.

The desire to learn has also led me to love languages, for to more fully explore and enjoy the wealth of human knowledge, one cannot rely on just one tongue. Thus, being born to speak Finnish, my adventures have taken me through English, Italian, German and Swedish, and at the moment I find myself at the gates of Polish and Braille. Excellent in English, my knack for understanding written words has served me well, enabling me to correctly, albeit roughly, translate texts in even unfamiliar languages, like Spanish.

But it's not just information this fondness for languages has granted me. Stepping outside my mother tongue, I've delighted in reading books in their original languages, discovering nuances and puns that cannot survive in translation.
